Take Away from Doug Powell on Design Thinking

IBM is reinterpreting design thinking for the modern, continuous delivery world, with a focus on
human centered outcomes of speed and scale.

They are utilizing the following principles of design thinking:

1.  A focus on user outcomes (above all else)
2.  Multidisciplinary teams
3.  Restless reinvention

There are three tactical keys to IBM design thinking:

1.  Hills- statements of intent which surround teams around a clear common goal
2.  Playbacks-  used to keep a globally dispersed team aligned, bring project stakeholders into the            loop, and get feedback
3.  Sponsor users-  real people who use their products and greatly influence the work of design teams

The infinite loop symbol illustrates the process of observation, reflection, and making.
